Flea Market Prints

I enjoyed a very large flea market last weekend and found more artwork for my small print collection. I love the variations of color, embossing and gold ink. Old postcards also have some of the most varied subjects, settings and illustration styles.

All three postcards have lovely illustrations and typography.
My favorite is the carriage on the left - so colorful.

This is a old-style print - 5-color with the extra color as gold.
The illustration is so whimsical and full of life - truly is telling a story.

These three postcards are quite old - black cat was mailed in 1911.
The rooster and hen was mailed in 1908 -
it has very detailed embossing and a large color palette.

Summer Fledglings

Three fledglings took flight this week. Their fuzzy feathers, small beaks and high-pitched chirps resound from a willow tree in the garden. They stay together as a family even outside of the nest.
